Title: extreme newbie
Post by: geezer on November 20, 2010, 05:28:45 PM
Hey everyone - very new to sequencing and using computers to create etc. A couple of questions before I download dBase -

I think the program can do all of these things - am I correct?

I can create drum parts by writing the tabs on the computer -
Drumbase can then play these creations
Can these creations be exported int DAWs like Studio One, Cubase, ProTools, Cakewalk etc?
If they are imported can they be imported with each sound in its own channel - or will the entire drum track be on one track?

Thanks for any and all help!

Take care
Mike

Also - can the tempo of a song be changed readily/easily? A lot of stuff I do starts at one speed and then speeds up and then comes back down...not crazy about the options on this in Studio One and I am looking for a better way to drums!

By Drumbase is assume you mean DTAB ?

DTAB lets the user tap (computer keyboard) or click (mouse) drum patterns together to form songs in Drum tab format.   These can exported as a ASCII drum tab (as seen all over the web),  DTABS own song format or as MIDI.    MIDI is pretty universal, so you should be able to import them into whatever app you're composing with.
