   Of course people like free stuff..   who doesn't  ?

   Making a passion project free is easy;  build it when you want  etc etc and there's a million projects out there days that do just that.   

   The problem that many seem unwilling to understand is this..  Once you get beyond a particular point (or scale),  it's not actually that free to develop freeware applications..  Scaling up requires a lot of time from skilled people.  There's only so many favours people are willing to contribute; before your crossing the line between hobby and full time job.

   Unfortunately the kinds of things people seem to expect me to give them in recent years is well beyond the scope of possibly. 

    So who's paying for it ?
