Happy New Year from UW.com also.

It's new years day here and for the first time in recent memory, I slept right through it :)

 Thanks.

News Years Eve/Day is becoming an eventful day for some reason here.  It's either hot as hell, or stormy..  Yesterday was the latter.  We got 40 odd mill's (about an inch and 1/2) of rain dumped on us.  While last year New years eve was one of the the hottest on record.

Rain is good, we love rain atm, since we've in our 10th year of drought.   Water is becoming a big issue here. Locally we're down to 17% water storage.  Most reservoirs are empty.  One of Ballarats main attractions, lake Wendouree,  dried up a few months ago.   It's bizarre to drive past it now, looks like the moon surface.  Well, if the moon surface looked like the bottom of a lake :)
