is it yourself that suffers from dementia or a family member?

   My mother since dad died. 

my mother used to look after dementia patients at a nursing home. some used to wander outside the facility, so they had to make the automatic doors one way only, so a nurse had to manually let you out. i didn't know this at first, so i was stuck inside madly waving at the door with patients staring at me, until a nurse came over laughing and opened the door...

   :)  - yeah we've only just go a placement in a kind of activities group a few mornings a week and it's much the same.   Numeric pads on all the doors, not the most comfortable feeling walking into that joint for the first time.

funny how your dog rolled in something. they love it. i once walked my blue healer past some horse paddocks, and he went in and scraped his body from head to tail across multiple horse dung piles, and was covered by the time i got him home.

   yeah it's just the back paddock.  WE normally use that as there's less trees to get tangled in, but there's sometimes the odd kangaroo or bunny.  If she spots something her prey drive is very high and she's off like a shot.

   Not ours,  somebody else's.   He's only a pup but he loves playing tug-of-war with AVA..   ends up in a big stand off

Ava meets Coco (2nd June 2022)

After some initial reluctance Coco jumps from the safety of the cars backseat to find safe harbor between our legs.. While Ava was keen for some play time, Coco wasn't too sure at first.. but things change.

But you know what first impressions are like, and soon after Coco was fascinated with this amazing new creature in front of her.. Is that a dog ? .. Am I dog ?? I dunno ?? but it's fun... They soon they found a common game (Which was Ava has the toy and you don't 🙂 ) and the hi jinks followed..

All in all, it was a great arvo.. nice to catch up with Jack .. been way too long.

AVA Hunting - Time Lapse - Featuring -  Go!  NEFFEX

 My dog Ava (Kelpie Cross)  loves the hustle at our local dog park.. Playing is for other dogs she'd rather hunt rats around her favourite pond..   It's become an endless game, rats often climb the trees at even the slightest sound of her coming.  

  The time lapse video was shot by hand,  making the frantic search come alive with the sound track GO  by #neffex.

   She's still playing with it,  but normally yeah she guts them ..   We were in the pet shop a few years ago and she picked this soft duck toy with a squeaker in it..  She'd carry it around in the mornings softly squeaking / thrashing it and sometimes throwing it..  We prolly had that for the best part of year; then I walk outside one day and she'd gutted it..  Stuffing everywhere but kept playing with the skin...  She liked it so much I went and got her another one..  which is gutted about 10 minutes later ..   :)   So no more soft toys for her.

   Yeah..  it's all been cleaned up getting ready for a sale I guess in the coming weeks.    Since the sun is out i'm working outside again.   Just hanging out with the laptop and listening to AVA bark at anything that moves on the road out front..
