The Heroes Quest competition has got me completely psyched up!

(which map format [old PBMapper, Mappy, new PBMapper], tiles or shapes)
And thus, Question barrage is GO! (http://www.underwaredesign.com/forums/Themes/default/images/post/cheesy.gif)

PBMapper Questions:
1) What is the PBMapper?
2) What is the differance between the old and new PBMapper?
3) Where can I find tutorials/example/etc for PBMapper?
4) Is the Play Basic help file in the "PB-Help > Map >" section related to this?
5) Are there any limitations or quirks of PBMapper I should know of before I use it for the first time?

Mappy Questions:
6) Is this Mappy? Or is it something else. (Link 1: Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mappy_%28editor%29) - Link 2: Offical Site (http://tilemap.co.uk/mappy.php))
7) How do I use Mappy files with PB?
8) Anything I should know about using Mappy format maps in PB? (Example: Don't set them up like 'X' or PB will crash when they load.)

PBMapper Questions:
1) What is the PBMapper?

  See -> Tools Board (http://www.underwaredesign.com/forums/index.php?board=39.0)

Quote2) What is the differance between the old and new PBMapper?

One's newer than the other ?  :)   PlayMapperMini is the PlayMapperClassic replacement.

3) Where can I find tutorials/example/etc for PBMapper?

  PlayMapperClassic comes with HTML doc's...

There's lots of WIP info on using PlayMapperMini in the WIP thread (http://www.underwaredesign.com/forums/index.php?topic=2279.0).  Although, it's pretty self explanatory..

4) Is the Play Basic help file in the "PB-Help > Map >" section related to this?

No.  The tutorial covers the basics of setting up a map within your program.  So you can roll your own map editor if you want.

5) Are there any limitations or quirks of PBMapper I should know of before I use it for the first time?

   More than likely.

Take look in your Projects/Example/Mappy folder

From memory the mappy loader only supports format V1.0 maps.
