Hi,
just read it in a thread at the Indiegamer's forums and gave it a little test run:
MusiGenesis

This tool allows you to create your own music.
After choosing the one of the 4 defined time signatures and a tempo (60 to 320 bpm) you can create an unlimited number of tracks. Each track is using an instrument (or several in case of a percussion track).
You can then generate a random pattern for a track, listen to it, keep or drop it.
Kept patterns can be mutated (enriched with some more notes/tunes of the chosen instrument). You can also manually add/remove notes in your pattern if you prefer.

You can have 8 patterns per track and there is no limitation of pattern length.

You can then switch to mix mode and arrange patterns as you like to complete your master piece.

MusiGenesis comes with around 350 instruments (around 190 percussion instruments and 160 tunes like bass, orchestra, guitars, chinese flutes and such).
You can also add an unlimited amount of your own samples (loops or tunes) which must be wav files.

The freeware version does not allow saving of your music which can be saved as mp3, wav or mid in the full version.

Registration is 19,95$ and it is a computer based license (not person based, the generated key only works on the installation machine).
You can buy a bulk license (20 licenses) for 39,95$.

It's pretty much fun, very easy to use and also the downloadable sample songs are nicely done.

Menu or title music in minutes  ;)

Give it a try if you want to create your own music without too many hazzles...

Cheers,
Tommy
