Title: Should DTAB Support Notation?

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to get some feedback on what the user base feels about adding Notation support.

 I'm 50/50 on it.

Pardon my ignorance, but what do you mean by 'notation'?

That's what I thought, but I guess I couldn't understand how you could make an ASCII based tab into something pretty like sheet music.

Thanks for the clarification.

Hi Kevin I think it would be a great feature and would take Dtab one step further.
Tab Notation is often very usable but as a Song gets more complex Tab Notation gets sometimes quite confusing.

If you would add this feature i would suggest that you add a button in the options where you can select between Tab / Notation or a Tab + Notation View

Yeah agreed, it's always been on the to-do list. Just gauging the support level really.

Notation and tab mode would pretty much work the same way, it'd be an either or situation, so you could change modes at will.

Anyway Notation would certainly get rid of some the symbolic clumsiness of tab..
