Title: Website problems
Post by: Ian Price on February 25, 2006, 08:31:20 AM
Hi Kevin

Just a quick question really - I have a friend (rockfistus, who helped create some music for my competition entry), who is unable to access this site via dial-up software (I don't know which ISP), however his neighbour is able to, using broadband.

He doesn't have any firewall and has full access to every other website, just not this one. It's not a recent thing either - he mentioned that he couldn't see it at the start of the competition.

Does this site employ some unstandard features that a) impede hackers b) prevent dial-up users from accessing the site.

Have you any suggestions what might prevent him from seeing the Underwear Design site?

I wonder if his situation is an isolated case or more widespread.

TBH I expected as much. I'll let him know - perhaps he's got some spyware/adware that's blocking him.

Cheers.
