I started this game because of this minigame-challenge : http://www.underwaredesign.com/forums/index.php?topic=3224.0

The gameplay is very basic and i hope i can add some more variety in it, but it's kinda fun. My personal highscore so far was something like 14 Points.
I tried to implement some eye-candy and unusual graphical effects.

Download it here!: http://drop.io/spacedarthvaders

An ugly Screeny to get you excited:

If you play it please tell me about your framerate!

edit/ replaced fugly screenshot with a bit less ugly screenshot.

"Haha. Game 'I'm a dirty spammer9' Over."

...Well I thought I did pretty well : ( but I guess my -43 score disagrees.
This signature is boring, and could be improved. However, the user of this signature doesn't need a fancy signature because he or she doesn't really care for one.

thanks monkeybot

@Makeii Runoru : Every shot you waste gives you a negative score of 0.5 points. Every hit gives you 0.1 Points

haha very nice game!!! effect it beautiful!!!

Graphic effects are really and very smooth.

I think the scoring is a little unbalanced, is it not more fun within an arcade context to fire wildly and rack up huge scores than to try and fire each shot with precision?

I like how the aliens come in - I would make it a constantly streaming affair rather than a level based approach to keep the pressure on.

It's really nice.  It's pity you haven't include the source file..

Thanks a lot micky, tifu, jimwon and atlus! Glad you like the fx :D

I'm thinking about two modes here. Ofcourse it's fun to fire wildly, but nearly every arcadeshooter works that way. I wanted to make it difficult even to get a score higher than zero, where other spaceshooters give you hundreds of Points for every kill.

That's a good Idea! But i still want to have the level-change effect, so I think I'm going to implement your idea in the rapid-fire mode :)
