if i reformat my drive or my computer crashes or my hard drive is eaten by some silica-based life form and i lose my copy of Playbasic, do i have to re-purchase it? or would there be some way to get it sent back to me?

Like all electronically delivered software,  you're required to the make a backup of order details and installers on your end.   This might mean storing the files on CDR, DVDR,  USBkey, Floppy disc whatever.    Failing that, if you loose your installation and require a new one, YES we can reissue it freely, but only within 6 months of your purchase time.  Beyond that, there's a fee involved.    But you'll (of course) be required to prove you're identity.  This only applies to orders made through UnderwareDesign.com though.   If you order elsewhere (like TGC) then you'll need to contact them, not us.
