Title: Monkeybot presents Ripptoff!
Post by: monkeybot on April 13, 2015, 02:34:01 PM
EARLY WIP
This was inspired by Repton,a strategy game from the 80's.

+/- keys increase x size of map.
+/- on the keypad increase y size of map.

It works ok,there is an editor.

TRY TO GET AS MANY OF THE DIAMONDS AS POSSIBLE.
TRY NOT TO GET SQUASHED BY THE ROCKS!

looks pretty good,  can't say I remember the original Repton game, but was a big fan of the boulder dash series. (Pumpkin Patch (http://www.underwaredesign.com/forums/index.php?topic=3536.msg23297#msg23297)).

ok monkey person. there is no pressure here. i'm just having fun doing this ok. if you don't wanna do it then no problemo!
i made a bit of a mockup of what i thought it could looks like. i found this funky purple pallet so i thought it could be a moon miner (cause the diggers look a bit mooney too)

ps: what do you think? tile or texture

ok i think this will do. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to figure out a system that changes
the tiles around the digger so that is shows the appropriate path.

The texture looks nicer to me but tiles would be easier to implement.
