Title: Error starting module Win32DPNetgame
Post by: OldNESJunkie on September 08, 2017, 07:03:22 AM
Kevin,

Just reloaded PB after a long while on my Windows 10 Box, but when loading any version, I get the following when loading the IDE and when trying to run a project, cannot register:

Error Starting Module 'Win32DPNetGame'

Windows 10 Pro (64-Bit)
Version 1703
Build 15063.540
16GB RAM
256 GDD SSD
Dual Graphics - Intel HD Graphics 530 and AD Radeon R7 M360
Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 (10.3.0.6294) <- Tried disabling this, no change

do you have firewall enabled ? - The IDE checks the news feed each time it's started..  That could hang it.

Sorry, been busy and just noticed this, firewall is currently disabled, internet filtering may be to blame as it is working fine on my home laptop, so I;ll just use it on there anyways.  Cisco Umbrella (formerly OpenDNS) looks like the culprit.

I had the same problem at first but found the solution:  You need to enable DirectDraw.  Go to control panel>programs>programs and features, under that is "turn windows features on or off.  Look for section for legacy, expand it and check direct play.  All will work fine then.
