vista ultimate 64 error message

i get the following error message when attempting to run pb under vista ultimate 64. i choose continue twice and then it seems to run ok.
i am running 1.64j. i may not have installed all the patches properly though; i did the following;
PlayBasicV163w_Retail_Patch
then
PlayBasicV1.64i_Retail_Upgrade
then
PlayBasicV1.64j_Retail_Upgrade

You have to install (AFAIK) the main program installer 1.63m I think is the only version available first, then the updates on top of that. I wish we could just d/l the full installer every time instead of the patches...

  No that's wrong.   If you've using a retail edition issues within the last 2 years or so,  all you do is install base retail, then the latest patch over it.   If your retail edition  is older than 1.63w, then you need to install that it prior to any 1.64 update. 
 
  This problem is another known bug in the IDE.  Search for "No Disk In Drive"..
