Can't get note rates to work! Please help

Ok so i click on 32nd note then click on bass drum, but it sounds exactly the same as an 8th note on the bass drum!! what am i doing wrong? I have the tempo at 110bpm

The Rate controls are for people using the KeyBoard editing system.  They allow you to move in 1/8th, 1/16 etc steps through the bar.  It doesn't effect the duration of a note.
